Blackfoot animal shelter hosts 'empty the shelters' event

BLACKFOOT, Idaho (CBS2) — Thanks to a national non-profit, Blackfoot Animal Shelter & Rescue will be offering $25 adoption fees for dogs and cats.

The Blackfoot shelter is taking part in Bissell Pet Foundation's "empty the shelters" event where pet adoptions are funded to allow for much lower fees.

The event runs Oct. 4 — 9. The Blackfoot shelter is one of 180 shelters nationwide participating.
