Her magical way with words has turned her into a multi-millionaire and her tale of boy wizard Harry Potter has become a global phenomenon.
And it seems the midas touch extends to author J.K. Rowling's beauty routine too, for the 51-year-old author was out last night looking at least a decade younger than when she shot to fame nearly 20 years ago.
Rowling, who has gone from being a struggling writer to building an estimated fortune of £600million, wore a dazzling Jenny Packham gown at the London premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Gone were the lines on her forehead and around her eyes, the dappled skin and jowly appearance she had when she was a literary unknown sporting boxy jackets in 1997.
Replacing all that - as these pictures show - has come the face of a woman who could quite easily pass for being a decade younger.

Then and now: The author, seen right in 1998 and left at last night's Fantastic Beasts premiere, looks better than ever
Nailing the perfect hair shade for her skin tone has been crucial to the success of the author's journey towards red carpet perfection, according to hair expert Andrew Collinge.
He told FEMAIL that Rowling's cool skin tones made the warm red of her late '90s and early 2000 hair styles far less flattering than more modern choices.

'The red is not right for her complexion.
'In the pictures where her hair is redder, it doesn't flatter her as much as the cooler blondes. Getting that shade right is so important - it lifts the complexion.'
Andrew added that the 'Rachel'-esque cut Rowling wore in 2000 reveals how much technology in hair has moved on in the time she's been in the limelight.
'Today we have oils and Keratin treatments and straighteners and so on, where that early hair style looks as though it would have been reliant on just a traditional blow dry,' he said.

'[Her hair] might not be naturally straight and it's probably not the easiest to blow dry. Her hair looks better I think when it's smoother,' said Andrew, adding that the author appeared to have turned over event hair styling duties to professionals in later pictures.
'Less is more,' he said of Rowling, who has previously been reported as being a fan of Caci toning facials. 'She looked absolutely stunning last night with her blonde hair simply pinned at the nape of the neck.'
Denise Rabor, an international make-up artist and the founder of WOW Beauty, agreed with Collinge that working with her skin tone has been key to her success in front of the cameras.
'She has been brave in testing out which colours of lipstick and gloss suit her skin tone,' Denise told FEMAIL.
'Nude colours and pink undertones work better with her fair skin.
'[She] has adapted her foundation as her skin seems fairly shiny to begin with [in earlier photographs] and becomes more matte and dewy, with subtle hints of blush and contouring coming through.
'She definitely uses a highlighter to accentuate her cheekbones, and I reckon she has been using a hydrating mask at night to repair her skin, giving it a beautiful glow,' said Denise.
